In all my years of experience working in the content creation space, I’ve received plenty of requests from bloggers, marketers, and even digital marketing agencies to craft amazing articles. To my dismay, the majority of these pieces end up  buried under pages and pages  on Google. Only a minority of them turned out to be successful blog posts. But what I noticed is that the ones that ended up being  successful in generating social shares  and creating hundreds of backlinks shared one common feature that  no one  seems to notice. It’s so simple that you’ll slap yourself on the forehead. The articles that ended up being successful were all  creatively designed . No, I’m not talking about infographics. I’m talking about how they’re styled and how they incorporate elements of design to make them look more visually appealing. But what are these exact design elements? The success of Bluemercury proved the critics wrong. “We’ve always had a hard time being able to ide

How can fast growing businesses sniff out right coders when a majority of them seem to be absorbed by tech businesses? Coding geek since 2005 and former coder at technology giant HCL, Avlesh Singh, Co-founder & CEO of Mumbai-based multichannel user engagement platform Web Engage shares the way out in a chat with Entrepreneur. Non-tech businesses can also find a good coder Businesses, instead of going out to hire a coder directly at the bottom, can hire a person who himself may not be a coder but buys into the larger vision of the business and at the same time have a strong network in the coding community. He must have the  power to attract talent and understand how and from where to source a good coder. While he may be costlier to get but will build the team for you with long-term value creation and this is important. Places to find the right coder A Businesses need to look at

The Value of Content Before Website Design

I’m a strong believer in preparing website content before initiating graphic design and this applies to both websites and blogs. Some will argue with me, but I’ll fight this battle and dig in because I know content before website design is the right approach. I believe: Strong website design extends past colors, fonts, and layout boxes. Strong design focuses on the user. Website design should be crafted around the user, their needs, and the desired outcome of a website visit. It should be focused on the user’s challenges and the website’s ability to solve these issues. It should not be focused on coding trends and prepackaged templates. Design Trends Come and Go, But a Focus on the User Should Not I’ll receive emails from people discussing their website design requirements and many times these lists will be focusing on specific project criteria like infinite scroll, hamburger menus, hero images, video backgrounds, and motion.
